Fundraising

Come Join Us for some Fun!!!

fundraising update

To:  All team parents

from:  liane Anderson, Fundraising chair

Well we’ve kicked off this season’s fundraising events with a bang!!  Hopefully you all had the opportunity to take advantage of the WaWa hoagie & Gianni’s pizza fundraisers.  If not here are a few more coming your way!

*   Lemonade Stand (team fundraiser)—October 7th (team fundraiser) FLYER BELOW

*   Yankee Candle Sale—(10/6—10/20) (delivery approx. Dec. 1st )

*   Thanksgiving Pies/Lochels Bakery—(11/3—11/17) (delivery 11/20)

*   WaWa hoagies—(11/15—12/1)

*   Magazines online—(ongoing, but good for holiday gifts)

TIPS:

·        The Lemonade Stand is a team fundraiser.  20% of the net profit will go into the team’s general fund.  The rest of the proceeds will be divided amongst those families who worked this event.  You’ve got to play to win!!!

·        Yankee Candles are good holiday gifts for teachers, bus drivers, babysitters, neighbors, Aunt Bessy…and you’ll make about 40% profit on every sale!

·        Thanksgiving Pies (Lochels) are easy.  Each pie type is $10 and your profit averages about $2.50 to $3.25 a pie.

·        WaWa hoagie fundraiser will be run throughout the year (about every 2-3 months).  Shorti hoagies are $3.59 anyway, may as well get the coupons for $3.50 and save 9 cents!

·        Magazines Online is a low-effort, low-key way to raise team funds by zapping friends & family an email to buy cheap magazines online or simply renew a subscription.  Good for holiday gifts.  (more info. To come)

HELP!!!!!!!

Thanks to these volunteers:  Patty Minnemeyer who has taken on the WaWa hoagie fundraiser, AND  Randi McEwing who has run the Gianni Pizza fundraiser.  Without these volunteers these fundraisers wouldn’t be happening!!

BUT…  I am STILL desperate for your help!!  I need volunteers to run the Yankee Candle & Pie fundraisers.  It’s easy—I’ve made the contacts; you just review the info., stuff the folders, and manage the delivery/pick-up.

ALSO..   if we had someone looking into restaurants where we could dine and they donate a % proceeds back we could make some money.  JUST DO IT!!!  It could be a fun night out!!!

Without your help I can’t look for other bigger & better fundraising opportunities like the Lemonade Stand.  Which brings me to fundraising ideas that can’t happen without more help, such as …

Ø      Dining Out—with % proceeds back to MontCo. Gymnastics

Ø      Candy sales

Ø      Super Bowl “munchies” sale  (Wings?  Hoagies?)

Ø      Car Wash in Spring

Ø      Beef & Beer

Ø      Golf &/or Volleyball Tournaments

Ø      Pampered Chef

If anyone has ideas for fundraising and wants to pursue and head up…

BOYS TEAM FALL FUNDRAISER!!

It's going to be a fun day--work your shift with your son/family and spend the day in Chestnut Hill strolling up and down "the Avenue".  Germantown is blocked off for the day and there are blocks and blocks of vendors, entertainers, food and LEMONADE!!!!

·        All the proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the boys’ team.

·        What that means is that we need EVERYONE'S PARTICIPATION!!!

·        If everyone participates, everyone benefits.
