Montgomery County Gymnastics Booster is a nonprofit organization, run completely by volunteers, that supports and raises funds for the Boys Gymnastics Competitive Team at Montgomery County Gymnastics. Participation in our team is open to all boys from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and the boys come from all ethnic and economic backgrounds. Gymnastics is a wonderful sport that is helping the nation fight obesity and other health issues with its extensive physical training, discipline and mental focus. Through gymnastics, we help boys get off the streets and into the gym by including the three fundamentals of fitness: cardiovascular exercise, strength training, and flexibility.
These incredibly dedicated boys train all year round from
6 to 20 hours per week depending on their level. This dedication and hard work has resulted in outstanding results. Some of the boys have won Team or individual All-Around titles at State and Regional Championships. One boy has been a National Team Member for the last two years. In addition, some of the boys have been selected to join the Future Stars program, a program run by United States American Gymnastics, to boost the development of boys with high potential. This program includes a training clinic at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
