Our History
|
Kori and Brad started their coaching careers at the North Penn High School gymnastics community program. They worked there for about 8 years until the School Board decided to discontinue the program. From there they started the North Penn Gymnastics program and were instrumental in building that program very rapidly to over 400 kids.
In 2005, Kori and Brad along with a host of very supportive parents, envisioned a new kind of gymnastics center. They wanted to develop an atmosphere where coaches and kids could all "have fun with exercise" and only "compete" when that was their desire. In order to fullfill this dream they needed to be in control and so, as a result Montgomery County Gymnastics & Cheer Center was opened in June of 2005. |

Their humble beginnings started at 925 Shwab Road in Hatfield, PA with 5000 sq. feet including their office space. In 8 months they went from zero kids to about 450 and were quickly busting at the seams. They started with no money but what they could borrow from relatives, credit that they had very little of and mostly "sweat equity". They kept the payroll down because they both practically lived at the gym.
Now they are in a 12,175 square foot building and are soon going to build their dream gym which is another "leap of faith". Their current building is on Industry Road which is located just behind the Schwab Road facility. They decided to keep the old gym and use it for sports classes such as baseball, football, wrestling, golf, etc. Having two buildings has provided them the opportunity to expand the Sports Performance side of the business and to rent space to different sports leagues that require "open space". It also offers additional programs for our existing customers, allowing each child in a family to participate in an activity and where Mom and Dad do not have to drive all over the region to accomodate their children's activites.
